Neon Drift Circuit

Neon Drift Circuit is pure arcade racing joy. Forget realistic physics — this is about chaining drifts through neon-lit corners and building boost. The tilt controls felt right after a couple of laps, though tap steering is there for anyone who hates tilting their phone on the bus.

There's a decent roster of tracks and cars to unlock through play, no connection required. Time trials are where we spent most of our hours, shaving tenths off our best laps and cursing at that one hairpin. The sense of speed is excellent and the soundtrack is genuinely good.

It won't win awards for depth, but as an offline pick-up-and-race game it's one of the smoother ones we've tried this year.
